Hookahville Spring 2003

Vending Registration for Spring Hookahville 2003 is now full. Someone from the Vending department at Acoustic Productions Inc. will be contacting all pre-registered vendors by phone in April with all the necessary information. Vending information for Fall Hookahville 2003 will be available online in early July.

Any vending applications that did not get accepted will be returned to the vendor by US Mail.

Spring Hookahville 2003 at Frontier Ranch Music Center will open its gates to pre-registered vendors only from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Thursday May 22nd. Vending booth space will not be available after pre-registration ends on March 31st. Food vending booth space is expected to sell out. Previous Hookahville vendors will be given priority. All vending space locations will be determined by Acoustic Productions, Inc. Call 1-888-TIXX-100 for recorded pre-registration instructions. Pre-registered vendors will be given their vending packets (including Hookahville tickets) when they arrive at Hookahville. Please note that vending packets will not be mailed out.

The state of Ohio requires all vendors selling merchandise to pay sales tax and hold either a transient vendors license from the state of Ohio, or a temporary vending permit from the county in which the sales are made, which is Licking County. Food vendors will be required to show a permit from the Licking County Health Department.

Vending Sales will be permitted beginning Friday, May 23rd at 8:00 AM until Sunday, May 25th at 10:00 AM. Food service vendors must pass the Health Department Inspection prior to beginning food sales. Food vendors caught dumping or leaving cooking or fryer oil will be banned from future Hookahvilles. The Food Vending Area will now feature several gray-water dump stations and a larger capacity generator.

Merchandise vending spaces will be 12’ x 12’ and include electric hook up (110v).

Food vending spaces will be 20’ x 20’ and are sub-divided into 3 categories:
Category 1: no water or electric hook ups
Category 2: water and 110v electric up to 40 amps
Category 3: water and 110v/220v electric up to 100 amps

Vendors requiring additional space or additional power must make prior arrangements with Acoustic Productions, Inc. Propane tank deliveries will only be permitted inside the venue on Thursday, May 22nd. Commercial food deliveries will not be permitted access into the venue. Vendors receiving commercial food deliveries must make prior arrangements with Acoustic Productions, Inc. to coordinate a drop off point. Food vendors will be permitted vehicle re-entry into the venue for the purpose of restocking food items. Food vendor vehicle re-entry will be restricted to non-performance times. Once music begins each day no vehicle access will be permitted. Merchandise vendors will not be able to re-enter with their vehicles.

Additional Vendor tickets may be purchased at vendor check in for $60.00 each. Anyone purchasing a ticket after Thursday, May 22nd will be charged the day of show price of $80.00. All Vendor employees must have a ticket to Spring Hookahville 2003 or they will not be allowed past the gate.

Walking passes may be purchased for $25 beginning Friday, May 23rd at 8:00am at the merchandise tent.
Walking passes will only be available at Hookahville – no pre-registration for walking passes.
Walking passes are valid only for walking vending. No tables, no tents, no shades. If you want to have a table and a tent you must pre-register for a regular merchandise vending space.

Food vendors will be required to show a permit from the Licking County Health Department. Below is a partial list of items required under Ohio law for temporary food service operations:

  • Safe water with approved vacuum breaker at hose connection. Water supply hose must be Food-grade.
  • Hot and cold running water under pressure.
  • Complete hand washing facilities.
  • Adequate utensil washing facilities consisting of a 3 compartment sink.
  • Approved water tight, vermin-proof containers for storage of all solid wastes.
  • Adequate refrigeration for all perishable foods.
  • Adequate hot food holding equipment to keep food at safe temperatures after preparation.
  • An accurate, stainless metal-stemmed, dial type thermometer for checking actual temperatures of perishable foods.
  • Adequate storage facilities to keep all foods, containers, utensils, etc stored at least six inches above the floor and protected from contamination at all times.
  • Approved method of disposing of liquid wastes.

The Licking County Health Inspector will be on site throughout the event making inspections of food operations. Please comply with all Health Department requirements. Food vendors please note that the Health Inspector will also examine whether food service workers present themselves in a sanitary appearance in compliance with Health Department Requirements.
