New Hookahville Alcohol Policy: Beer now available onsite at Hookahville!

Beginning with Spring Hookahville 2005, Acoustic Productions Inc. will be offering beer for sale within the concert ground viewing area.

A variety of beers (and non-alcoholic beverages) will be made available within the concert viewing area so people will not have to lug their coolers, ice, and beer into the shows. There will be no outside bottles, cans or alcohol allowed in the concert viewing area. (You can bring water in if it is not in a can or glass bottle).

Up until now, Hookahville has been the only festival of its size to allow patrons to bring their own alcohol into the concert viewing area. Due to the growth of the festival, API has had to update its policy for safety, clean up, and insurance purposes.

There will be no intrusion on your person or your bags. Security will only be checking for bottles and cans at the wrist banding gates upon entrance into the concert grounds and they won't confiscate ANYTHING, they will just have you bring the glass bottles, cans or alcohol back to your campsite. You are still welcome to bring your own alcohol into Hookahville but it must be enjoyed in the campground and cannot be brought into the concert viewing area.

Beer will be reasonably priced. There will be a selection of domestic beer as well as premium beer available.

These measures are for everyone's safety. Numerous injuries were reported in 2004 from people getting cut on broken bottles and crushed cans. Some of these injuries were severe and required transport to the hospital - and those patrons weren't able to enjoy the rest of the festival. Most people who brought alcohol in cans or bottles never took their trash with them and the cleanup of the concert ground was a gigantic undertaking.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we will not be able to sell "carry out" beer in the campgrounds this year. Please do not drive to get beer after you have been drinking.

We appreciate all your support through the years in making Hookahville grow and be one of the best festivals out there. Additionally, Acoustic Productions and ekoostik hookah have the challenge of harnessing this growth while making a fun, safe and enjoyable time for everyone.

We sincerely value your respect of these new guidelines and policy for the 2005 Hookahville season.

Sincerely,

ekoostik hookah & Acoustic Productions Inc.
