Kids at Hookahville
Kids 10 and under are free at Hookahville.
Kidz Jam is an area set aside for children and parents to play together at
Hookahville! The Kidz Jam area will be open from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM on
both Saturday and Sunday.
Complementary Survival Kits for Kids will be available at the Kidz Jam site.
These include a set of earplugs, a band-aid, a glow stick, sticker, and an
unopened bottle of water that is refillable at Kidz Jam. Important tips on
hearing, camping, and festival safety are also included. Sunblock and
Band-aid are also available at the First Aid tent! Please encourage your
children to keep their shoes on at this event!
It's Time to Play Music at Kidz Jam!!
We will have real instruments for the children to interact with to get a
hands-on feel for playing music. In addition to a spontaneous jam
experience, Oboe the Clown and Chim-Chim the Monkey are back this season to
entertain with banjo, guitar and dance performances for kids and parents
alike!
Physical activities this year are designed for both younger and older
children and consist of a tunnel maze, ballpit, bouncy rooms, riding toys,
sandbox, hula hoops, bubble chases and frisbee! Some games will include
prizes for the winners!
Our arts and crafts department will be encouraging culture and recycling as
we take part in rainstick, maracas, and drum making projects, as well as
necklace making and more! For more information, visit www.kidzjam.org.
If you can donate any of the following (just drop off at the Kidzjam tent),
Kidz Jam would appreciate it very much:
- paper towel & toilet paper rolls
- streamers
- oatmeal cylinders
- clean empty plastic bottles (like water bottles)
- glue
- scissors
- markers
- paint
- crayons
- balloons
- masking tape
Kidz Jam will be located on the lower field, where vending is, at the corner
across from the payphones. The corner with the payphones will have an ATM,
ice and the second festival merchandise booth. Up on the basketball courts
will be bouncy things.
The Family/Quiet camping area is at the top of the hill by the Historic
Bluegrass/Late Night Stage. This area is marked on our festival map.
If you find a lost child or cannot locate your own, please go to the Licking
County Sheriff tent, located next to the medical tent and office trailer.
See you there!!!
