Frequently Asked Questions

When do the gates open?
You can come into Hookahville at 8AM on Saturday. (Actually you can come in after 3PM on Friday but that's early bird and will cost $20 per person).

I ordered my tickets online, how do I get them?
All tickets ordered online will be held for you at willcall. Bring ID with you to pick them up.

Can we leave the festival grounds and re-enter?
Yes, but you will need to go through the main entrance each time you leave and return. To re-enter you will need your wristband. You may not be able to leave by car during peak arrival times on Friday/Saturday.  If you prefer hotels to camping, here is a list.

What will you be providing?
There will be portapotty-bathrooms and potable water. Vendors will be selling a variety of reasonably priced foods and nonalcoholic beverages. There will be an ATM, but we recommend that you bring enough cash for your stay to avoid long lines or waiting for the machine to be serviced. Ice and firewood will also be available for sale.

What emergency services will be available on site? What should I do if I need emergency assistance (medical, towing, locksmith, etc.)?
There will be 24 hour security and EMT's. If you need emergency medical attention, contact the nearest security official, go to the medical tent, ask a Hookahville staff member or volunteer or check at the merchandise booth for assistance.

Where should I go if I lose track of my child, or if I find a child who is lost?
If you find a lost child or cannot locate your own, please go to the medical tent or locate a staff person.

Where should I go if I lose my keys, my wallet or my friends? What should I do if I find someone's stuff?
The Lost and Found will be located at the Hookahville merchandise tent until after the show Sunday night. We suggest you bring an extra key to your car and/or your key code - this makes getting a replacement should yours be lost a lot easier.

Will pets be allowed in the venue / camp grounds?
NO PETS!!! PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME. If a pet is found in your car you will be turned away - regardless how long you have waited in line or if you have tickets or not (dogs assisting the blind or other therapy dogs are acceptable with a license). Here is a list of local dog kennels.

What kind of handicap facilities will you be providing?
There will be a designated parking/camping area for people with special accessibility needs behind the medical tent. Anyone with a legal handicap sign or license plate is welcome to camp in the handicap camp area with their car. We also honor any visible disability such as a broken leg or a wheelchair. There will be accessible restroom facilities and a wheelchair accessible space inside the concert area.

Can I bring my RV?
Yes. There is a designated RV area inside the venue though it does not have hookups. The fee is $50 per RV at the gate, cash only. Tents and cars are not allowed in the RV area.

Where will we be camping/parking? Are we going to be able to camp next to our cars?
You'll be parking near the entrance and camping elsewhere. This is for your safety, to keep cars from running over tents and people. Be ready to carry your gear to your site or better yet, bring a wagon. Or, this fall only, arrive for earlybird by 10PM Friday and camp by your car (but you cannot move it until monday morning). If you want to camp by your car and come and go, purchase VIP tickets.

What's the deal with the VIP option?
Back again by popular demand, Hookahville offers an extremely limited number of VIP tickets for $200. VIP includes camping with your car or RV, a private area near the main stage, easy walking access into the concert area, expanded facilities and a VIP entrance/exit for cars. These limited tickets are available only in advance. Everyone camping in or visiting the VIP area will need a VIP ticket.

What will we be allowed to bring into the campgrounds? What can't we bring?
You can bring your own food, beverages (but NO glass), and gear into the camp ground areas. Acoustic music is welcome. Campfires are fine as long as they are knee-high (no larger) and a safe distance from your tents. No electrified music gear, no pets, no glass, no nitrous, no laser pointers, no hassles and no bad attitudes!

Will bands be allowed to play in the camping area if not affiliated with the festival?
Some of the best jams at Hookahville happen around campfires! Acoustic music is great but no amplifiers are allowed. Please be respectful of your neighbors.

Will there be any electricity in the camping area?
No.

Is there cell phone service available at Hookahville?
There are numerous cell phone towers in the area so service should be consistent. Walkie talkies work well for finding friends too.

How far is the concert venue from the camping areas?
All camping areas are within easy walking distance of the concert field, some are within view of the stage.

What can I bring into the stage area? What can't I bring?
You can bring everything that's allowed in the campgrounds into the stage area, except your tent. We suggest bringing water and something to sit on. Backpacks, lawn chairs, blankets, drinks are all OK.  No glass bottles will be allowed in the stage area or campgrounds.

What is the taping policy going to be?
This depends on the band's taping policy so it's best to check in person to be sure before you put up your rig. Ask at the taping section in front of the soundboard for each performer's policy on audiotaping, videotaping and photography. ekoostik hookah allows audiotaping, videotaping and non-flash photography for personal, non-professional use only.

Will cameras be allowed in the concert (venue) area?
Generally yes, but see above. Avoid using your flash - most bands find it distracting and the flash won't help you in concert photography conditions anyway.

Can I bring my kids? Do they have to pay?
Children are welcome! Those 12 and under are free if accompanied by a parent.

What types of vendors will be there?
A variety of vendors will be cooking up breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks. There will also be crafts, clothing and all sorts of festival-type stuff. Don't forget the Hookahville merchandise tent for t-shirts and all kinds of cool gear!

I'd like to volunteer to work at Hookahville. How do I do that?
Contact our volunteer coordinator at trev003@windstream.net.
